Questions & Answers

What data forms the basis for Konsido's categorisation?

Konsido analyses three primary data sources: OIOUBL/PEPPOL e-invoices describing purchases from external suppliers, posting data from your financial system showing how invoices are posted and for what purpose the purchase was made, and CVR data describing the suppliers' master data. By combining information from all three sources, we can categorise much more accurately than solutions that only look at invoices.

How accurately can Konsido categorise invoice line data?

Konsido's SLA is 95% correctly categorised invoice lines after 8 weeks. On the first run, the quality is typically 85-92% – depending on data quality. Konsido1000 is trained on Danish organisations, and the system learns continuously. Experts can correct errors directly, and these corrections override the algorithm's assessment in the future. This provides higher quality than UNSPSC-based systems.

How much data can Konsido handle?

Konsido scales from small organisations with 5,000 invoices annually to large ones with 200,000+. We analyse both public authorities that purchase billions and private companies with complex supply chains. The system scales automatically, ensuring good performance regardless of data volume.

Is the Konsido1000 category structure adaptable to specific industries?

Yes. Konsido1000 is designed for both public and private organisations with a focus on Nordic conditions. We have a particularly detailed structure in the social sector, but also in IT, construction/engineering, consulting services and indirect materials. The structure can be expanded with Konsido1000+ to meet your specific needs – this costs extra, but gives you exactly the structure you need.

Does Konsido support UNSPSC categorisation?

No. We believe that the Konsido1000 structure is better suited to Danish and Nordic organisations. UNSPSC is designed for global supply chains, not for Nordic procurement or climate accounts. Our structure provides better categorisation quality and a better match for your business. If you absolutely must have UNSPSC mapping, we can build it – but we do not recommend it.

How long does it take to implement Konsido?

From contract signing to first report: Typically 4-8 weeks. You provide historical data (invoices, entries), we import, categorise, enrich and build reports. For SPEND and ESG: 4-6 weeks. For OVERSIGHT: 6-8 weeks, as data validation and role-based access control are required. If you have special requirements for data structure or integration, it may take longer – but it can be done.

Can we get historical data analysed?

Yes. Konsido can analyse as far back as you have digital e-invoices. Typically, we go back 3-5 years for SPEND and ESG, so you can see trends and compare year-on-year. For OVERSIGHT, we typically start with the most recent year. If you want to go back further than 5 years, we can do that – but it costs extra processing.

How much does Konsido cost?

The price depends on modules (SPEND, ESG, OVERSIGHT), the size of the organisation (number of transactions), and the update frequency (quarterly, monthly, weekly). Typical annual licence costs for all three products individually: DKK 100,000-250,000. Both public authorities and private companies pay according to the same model. Contact us for a specific quote.

Is Konsido GDPR compliant?

Yes. Konsido processes data in accordance with the GDPR. We have data processing agreements with all customers, data is hosted securely in the EU, and access is controlled on a role basis. In OVERSIGHT, we automatically mask sensitive personal information (CPR, names, telephone numbers). We can also handle special GDPR requirements if you have them. We have an ISAE 3000 Type II statement prepared annually.

Where is our data hosted?

Data is hosted on secure cloud servers in the EU. We use Azure or OVH depending on customer needs. All data is encrypted both during transport and at rest. You retain ownership of your data – we are only data processors. If you require on-premise hosting, we can discuss this – but it costs significantly more.

Can we export data from Konsido?

Yes. In Power BI reports, you can export data to Excel. In the OVERSIGHT web application, you can export inspection findings. We also deliver your categorised data in a standardised format so that you can import it into your own data warehouse. If you want special formats or API access, we can build it for you.

How is data updated?

Data is updated automatically according to the frequency we agree upon: quarterly, monthly or weekly. You upload invoices and entries to our secure server (Azure or OVH), and we load, categorise, enrich and update the reports. You will be notified when new data is ready. If you need this to happen more frequently or in real time, we can discuss it.

Can Konsido SPEND be integrated with our existing BI system?

Yes. We provide categorised data in a standard format that can be imported into your data warehouse. This allows you to build your own reports or combine Konsido data with other data sources. If you require direct API integration or automated data flow, we can build this for you at an additional cost.

Does Konsido SPEND support the analysis of indirect materials?

Yes. Konsido1000 has a detailed structure for indirect materials – IT, office, marketing, consultants, travel, facility management, etc. This is precisely where many private companies have the greatest potential for savings, because indirect spend is often not categorised properly.

How does Konsido ESG handle product-specific emissions?

Konsido ESG uses a calculation hierarchy: First, product-specific emissions (if available from the supplier), then unit-based emissions (e.g. kWh of electricity), and finally spend-based emissions as a foundation. You can also upload your own LCA data or measurement data to replace spend-based calculations. If you have special requirements for the calculation method, we can adapt it.

Is Konsido ESG ready for CSRD reporting?

Yes. Konsido ESG provides Scope 1, 2 and 3 CO2e calculations based on the Environmental Input-Output method. Data can be exported to CSRD reports and ESG platforms. We continuously monitor developments in standards and update our methods and reports when requirements are specified. If you need special CSRD formatting, we can build it.

Can we use Konsido ESG for supplier engagement?

Yes. Konsido ESG shows exactly which suppliers contribute most to your carbon footprint. You can use this as a basis for dialogue with suppliers about reducing emissions or documenting product-specific data. If you want reports formatted specifically for supplier communication, we can help with that.

How many checks does Konsido OVERSIGHT have?

Konsido OVERSIGHT Kreditor has over 30 automated controls – and the number is growing. Checks cover creditor control, invoice control, VAT control, posting control and behaviour patterns. The system is continuously being developed, so new types of checks are being added. If you have specific control needs that we do not cover, we can build them – if they make sense for several customers.

Can Konsido OVERSIGHT be used in private companies?

Yes – but it requires adaptation. OVERSIGHT has been developed for Danish municipalities' cash and accounting regulations, but the basic control logic (double payments, suspicious suppliers, VAT errors, atypical purchases) works in all organisations. We can adapt controls to your internal policies and compliance requirements – this requires a separate project.

Does Konsido support a decentralised control regime?

Yes. Konsido OVERSIGHT can support both centralised control (the finance department receives all findings) and decentralised control (budget managers receive a list of risky invoices in their area). Role-based access control ensures that users only see data within their area of responsibility. The system does not provide random samples – it provides a targeted list of what actually needs to be checked.
